Onshape is a full-cloud 3D CAD system that lets everyone on a design team work together using any web browser, phone, or tablet.

This course will be geared towards complete beginners to CAD with little to no experience. We will go over the basic user interface and modeling tools to get you started on your first 3D CAD model including sketches, extrude, revolve, and more. We will get more familiar with the modeling tools by creating everyday physical objects using Onshape. If you have any simple to medium complexity items that you'd like to create a model of feel free to bring it along! After this course you will be well on your way to creating models for 3D printing or laser cutting.

Pre-work and what to bring: Please bring a laptop with an external mouse (trying to use the trackpad will be very limiting). No software installation are required since Onshape is a browser based program but please register for an Onshape account prior to the start of the class. You can register here: https://www.onshape.com/cad-pricing for the "Public" (free) account.
