Your first hardware tool: The Logics Analyzer

No, this device won't help you make better decisions in life, but it will help you get rid of your embedded designs I/O bugs. While there might be some wiggle room for debate on the LA being your first tool, no one can argue it's usefulness.

The workshop is a pulled from my original electronics bench tools workshop to give it the dedicated time it deserves. We will review: what it does, what it doesn't and compare it against the oscilloscope in a lab. You will get a brief overview of an oscilloscope for practical reasons.

While you don't need to bring anything, if you have a project you'd like to get a peek at you're free to bring it.

We will:

Discuss the tool and it's application

Discuss what NOT to measure (laptop safety!)

Discuss Logic Analyzers, some options and related tools

Lab: Using a Logic Analyzer for signal review, protocol analyzing and comparing results with an oscilloscope.
