CNC laser engraver - we have a new tool!!

We have a new CNC engraver laser at the space!!
Come learn how to use it!!
The new laser has a 15.5" x 27.5" engraving area.
It uses a 2.5 watt 450nm laser diode.
It can trace SVGs and DXFs using InkScape.
It does grayscale rastering and vectoring with filling using LaserGRBL.

We will learn:
- How to talk to the GRBL controller.
- How to setup and focus the laser.
- How to create Laser Gcode from InkScape.
- How to create Laser Gcode from LaserGRBL.

All the software and plugins we are going to use are free.
