Make and take laser engraver CNC

This will be a 2 day workshop. These can be long days depending on your skill level. Bring a lunch. Bring water. We have a fridge and microwave.
Bringing a friend helps a lot.

Build size: 27" wide x 12" deep x 16" tall
Work area: 11" x 15"
The frame is 2020 aluminum extrusion.

It will have a dual laser bracket for two lasers. There will be a switch to select which laser fires.
It will come with a .5watt UV diode which is great for engraving woods / mirror and leather. It will cut very thin things.
If you would like,, you can supply a blue diode laser for cutting and deeper etching.
The blue diodes cut plywoods / balsa / leather / paper / felt / fabrics / cardboard / dark acrylics.

We will go over:
- How to read a 3D drawing
- Wiring - a lot of wiring
- Some soldering
- How stepper motors work
- How to tune the machine
- CNC software
