Laser Cutter 101: Make Things with Laser Beams!

The goal of this class is to give you an introduction to the laser cutter/engraver and enough information to safely use it on your own after the class. SnoCo Makerspace members get free access to our laser cutter/engraver which is an incredibly valuable tool for anybody who makes things. 

We will set up a small project that will use both engraving and cutting. I will have something ready that you can customize such as a key chain with your name or an image engraved, maybe something else and I'm open to suggestions. We will keep projects under about 4"x4" to make sure everybody gets hands-on time, but you are welcome to bring your own project if you have something specific in mind. If there's enough time at the end we'll give it a shot together or, if you're a member, you can stay as long as you want and play.
